Bucket List

Bucket List Idea

Start a bucket list of all the things you want to accomplish together by examining your life goals and communicating them to your partner. The time to start your list is now, before time escapes you. If it sounds morbid, consider it a “Life To-Do List” instead.

Each person has his/her own individual goals and dreams to fulfill in life, so begin by making your own personal list first; then make a couples list with what you want to do together.

Personalize the title of your bucket list:

  • Our Bucket List

  • Our Dreams and Goals

  • Life To-Do List

  • Things To See

  • Places To Go

  • What’s Next?

Although it’s fine to have some broad or general ideas, try to keep most of your goals as specific as possible. Don’t be concerned about the details of the how at this point.

Dream big. Think without limits and not constrained to logic. What accomplishments do you want in life? What really matters to you? How would you make the world a better place? When will you make a change? Who do you want to be? Why?

There is something only you can bring to the world. You are unique and here for a reason so learn what you are meant to do. Try as many things as you can to discover what you really love doing with your time.

Goals will change over time and new doors will open so keep updating your list often. View it daily so hang it up on a wall where you can see it. Keep your dreams in front of your eyes to give you the desire to make them happen. If your beloved knows your dreams in life, it’s much easier to help support them.

Stay on the same page as your partner. Don’t make separate sheets. You do NOT want your personal goals to add distance between you. You are doing this together, not separate. Make sure there is agreement and support before you start pursuing them to avoid conflict.

Keep a journal and add photos with completion dates so you can look back at all you’ve done.
Milestone goals are once-in-a-lifetime opportunities you will always remember and cherish. Some will require sacrifice, time, money, discipline, and patience but once completed you will have a sense of accomplishment like nothing else.

You can also make a 3D paper craft bucket and place the list inside. Use the template below to add a title of your bucket list on yellow or white lined paper.

Choose to live your life’s purpose and realize your dreams together as a couple.
