Laser Tag

Play a competitive game of Laser Tag as a couple for a fun and active date night idea at home. Turn off the lights and add an LED strobe light effect that flashes throughout the room. 

Laser Tag requires moving and dodging so it is a great way to do something physically engaging together that breaks the routine of sitting on the couch in front of the TV or other digital distractions. Try something new to strengthen your connection with a shared activity.

There is also light hearted competitiveness involved to see who will win the match. You can even make a bet out of the game like best of 3 matches wins a prize from the other person.

Move the furniture and pillows around to create some cover in your arena. Clear up anything you might trip over since the lights will be off.

A basic laser tag set like the one below is all that's needed. Some have the hit sensor built into the gun so a separate vest is not needed, but they digitally display points to see who really won. If using the vest version, they vibrate when hit. You choose which one is more comfortable. Some laser tag sets allow for higher points and different weapon modes with sound effects. You can play privately as many times as you want making it more affordable than the real thing.

Those with multiplayer options allow you to add friends to the game and play as teams another day.

If you choose to play outdoors, use obstacles like a fence or a garbage can to make it more more interesting but use more caution in the dark.
